How The Wonder Jam untangled their client’s problems with MESA
The Wonder Jam is a soulful family of brands with a focus on client growth. Basis is their proudly women-led design and development studio, which helps clients of all sizes create a retail experience that’s both beautiful and effective. Based out of Columbus, Ohio and Florida, they work with businesses all over the world.
The bundle issue
Primally Pure, one of Basis’s clients, is in the non-toxic skincare industry. The brand wanted to create an infinite number of product bundles, and to do that, they needed help from Basis around tracking inventory sell-through and pinpointing popular SKUs.
However, the third-party app they were using made it difficult to leverage inventory data in this way. As a result, Basis thought about forcing the bundles to fit within Shopify’s 100 variant limit. They also considered other apps that would sync multiple product inventories when a certain SKU was sold, but in the end, the risk was too big. If this approach failed to sync up correctly, the inventory for many products would simply be wrong, leading to complications down the road.
Then they found MESA, which allowed them to create an automated, seamless process.
Choosing MESA
Ashli Nixon, Managing Partner at Basis, said they ultimately chose MESA because it was the most straight-forward option that addressed their needs.
Thanks to MESA, Basis didn’t have to change any of its existing processes or download any new apps while working with Primally Pure’s inventory. All they had to do was populate a spreadsheet whenever Primally Pure sold an infinite bundle.
The best part: MESA’s customer support was there to help along every step of the way.

Simple and streamlined
The main perk so far has been MESA’s ease of use. Basis found the process of integration to be both simple and streamlined, and there were no issues with Primally Pure’s shipping and fulfillment team. In the end, Basis was able to help Primally Pure avoid any problems with bundles and inventory tracking with zero sales disruption along the way.
